VOLKS*THEATER IN 1A LAGE

Based on the play DIE BANK (2024), the Volks*theater improvises around the 1A Lage. In performative scenes, questions are raised about housing and living space in the city, community and loneliness in public spaces. Equipped with two benches, we will parade through Königstraße for an hour. Afterwards, at 4 pm, we invite you to an open discussion in which we will talk about our experiences and insights from the development of the play. The following questions are still on our minds: Who owns the public space in front of the house? Who owns the city? Where can people retreat, take a break and meet? And why are there so many benches that you can’t lie down on?
