KMZ Kollektiv
KMZ (Kollektiv mit Zucker) consists of Laia RiCa, Antonio Cerezo, Yahima Piedra Cordova and Daniela del Pomar, has been working together since 2021 and was formally founded as a GbR in 2023. Most of the members come from Latin America and all live in Berlin. Their first production KAFFEE UND ZUCKER? (premiere June 2021, Schaubude Berlin) deals with German immigration stories in Central America and their colonial impact.
Working together as a team, they have found their own visual, biographical and documentary aesthetic. They move between object theater, material theater and performance. Their piece developments are based on the scenic and content-related research of specific material, which KMZ Kollektiv sees as the protagonist and which is interwoven with biographical and documentary elements, live music and live-produced visuals.
