Marlene Engelhorn

Marlene Engelhorn studies German language and literature at the University of Vienna and has worked in the field of tutoring and language training, among other things. When she found out about her inheritance worth millions, she began to explore the ideas of the Guerrilla Foundation, where she is now part of the Funders’ Circle. She is a co-founder of the “taxmenow” initiative and, together with other wealthy people, vehemently advocates a wealth and inheritance tax as well as progressive capital gains taxation and raises her voice in the public debate on tax and distributional justice. In 2022 and 2023, she hosted the mini-series “Seid umschlungen Millionen!” on ORF radio station Österreich 1 as part of the “Im-Gespräch” series with poverty activist Daniela Brodesser, former Finance Minister Ferdinand Lacina, lawyer Katharina Pistor and cultural anthropologist Francis Seeck. She is the author of the book “Geld” (Money), which was published by Kremayr und Scheriau in 2022. Marlene Engelhorn lives in Vienna.
