RAKETE
The current situation of the RAKETE bar in the RAMPE theatre:
No more rocket launches possible for the time being
Bad news: Unfortunately, RAKETE will not be able to continue its music programme as usual after the summer break in autumn. The ‘complaints from local tradespeople’ already known from other places (Stadtpalais, Palast der Republik, etc.) have meant that RAKETE can no longer organise a music programme and is therefore now facing economic collapse.
For ten years, concerts and other music events outside of the RAKETE mainstream have helped to make the RAMPE theatre a unique cultural venue characterised by diversity and vibrancy. With the exception of the coronavirus pandemic, RAKETE has not applied for or received any state funding.
The future is uncertain. RAMPE is working with RAKETE to find a medium and long-term solution. The first steps have been taken. For the time being, RAKETE will only cater for RAMPE’s theatre events. In the meantime, it is being examined how and whether it can continue.
A warm welcome! Since 2013, the RAKETE has not only been the RAMPE’s bar, but also a pop culture hub in the south of Stuttgart. Concerts, parties, and the Montage series with, its lectures and discussions, are an important part of our overall program. People meet in the Rakete before, during, and after events to chat and exchange ideas.
The Rakete is always open an hour before the start of the program and for an hour afterward.
The current programs for both the Montage series and the Rakete are listed in the calendar.
