Alessandra Santiesteban
Alessandra Santiesteban is playwright, poet and director. Her artwork is socially engaged and encompasses diverse media and formats, such as writing, performance, photography, film and installation. She activates networks between people and places crossing art practices and social research about migration, social exclusion, feminism and environmental issues.
Together with Karina Pino Gallardo, the two founded The Trailer Collective (2020), out of the need to create interdisciplinary and collaborative projects among artists, spaces and topics (directly related to social issues and communities). Each project has a documentary-archival nature. THE TRAILER (vehicle of alternative displacements, connections and freedom) is a gesture for movement, exploration and knowledge of different methodologies of work.
