“Go out into the fields and forests and look for a mushroom. Bring it into the kitchen where you previously moved your piano. Count the lamellae of the mushroom (in the case of a morel, the little holes) or weigh it by grams. This number gives you the bars of the piece. Then measure its stem length in centimetres. If they are divisible by three, the piece is in 3/4 time, if they are divisible by two, play in 4/4 time. (If both are possible, the choice is yours). You determine all the other parameters of the piece yourself. The mushroom then goes into the oven (at 100°C).
