IDEA
The RAMPE will develop a new project space on the first floor in the fall of 2023, which will become a place for (neighborhood) exchange and artistic presentations.

For the design and development of the ECKLADEN, we have invited the collaborative design studio EL WARCHA, who, since 2016, especially in Tunis (Tunisia), have been collaborating with different people to create furniture and art installations, mainly in public spaces. At the RAMPE, they will spend two weeks making plans, experimenting with materials, and putting things into action with young people and initiatives from the district. In this way, they will create modular furniture, decorations, and accessories in the EL WARCHA workshop, which will transform the corner store into a kitchen, a cinema room, or a photo studio, for example.

PARTICIPATE
If you are between 15 and 18 years old and want to get involved in handicrafts, the first project week is right for you. During the autumn vacations between October 30 and November 3, you can contribute your ideas every day between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and put them into practice. And on November 10, the room will be inaugurated with a party! We are cooperating with AfroKids International and Team Tomorrow. If you are interested, please contact us at ed.epmaretaeht@tkatnok.
Initiatives and associations from the neighborhood are welcome to sign up to spend a day with EL WARCHA between November 6 and 10, 2023. Here, you can test or further develop the already built objects of the youth.
Contact Anna Hofmaier (FSJ Kultur) via ed.epmaretaeht@tkatnok.
The workshop will be held in German and English. We will translate as needed. The team of EL WARCHA speaks English, Tunisian-Arabic, and French.

THE EL WARCHA COLLECTIVE
The collective from Tunisia began its work in 2016 in the Hafsia district of Tunis. Since then, a floating cinema, a public boxing ring, or a mobile kitchen have been created. Through the collaborative creation of furniture and art installations,
the work aims to support and promote social engagement and education outside of classical institutions. It is also always about alternative methods of organizing and playing in public spaces. In 2022, El Warcha was part of Documenta fifteen, and in 2023, it was a guest at the Theater der Welt Theater Festival in Frankfurt/Offenbach. In addition to Tunis, there are now workshops in London, Lisbon, Davis, and the Tunisian desert city of Nefta.
