Lisa Thomas

Lisa Thomas, born in 1959, works in dance art in the fields of performance, mediation and choreography. She is the artistic director of the altentanztheater Zartbitter
/ Festival VielFalten at the Tanz- und Theaterwerkstatt Ludwigsburg, founding member of the Bundesarbeitskreis Tanzkunst und Alter (Aktion Tanz). She is a member of the artistic
director of the SAAL FREI platform for improvisation art and managing director of Instant Act Stuttgart gUG. Her artistic work has a focus on the dialogue between the generations and are interdisciplinary in nature in cooperation with music, visual arts and material theatre. In her solo artistic practice and research, she has been exploring the old body in contemporary dance aesthetics in various residencies since 2019 and in 2022 realised the multimedia project DanceYourSkin was realised. As a dancer and performer, she is a permanent member of the independent ensemble Instant PIG//Stuttgart and the artist collective Multipluralwesen by choreographer Johannes Blattner.
